An incredibly tasty and generously balanced bottle of red wine that won 2 stars of excellence at the London 2015 Bellavita awards. It’s truly one of our best red wines!
【 HOW OUR WINES ARE MADE 】The grapes which are hand cut, are vinified with a temperature-controlled fermentation. They undergo a long maceration period so the silky, sublime tannins, colour and aromas can be developed. We age this robust, limited edition wine in steel barrels for 12 months so the best red wine flavour can develop.
【 AUTHENTIC ITALIAN WINE, TASTE & QUALITY 】We use traditional, Southern Italian methods for collecting our olives and grapes as well as in the making of our sundried tomatoes and vegetables marinated in olive oil. These Southern Italian methods really mean getting the staff and the whole family together: sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and cousins – including the family from England (timing holidays to coincide with harvest time).
【 TIPS ON CONSUMPTION 】Our red wine bottle can be opened as if there were no wax at all. Simply insert the corkscrew straight through the wax and pull out the cork as normal. On a hot day, our bottle of red wine can be served slightly chilled. Best chilled for 20 minutes before serving to enhance the flavour. Il Vescovo is well-suited to all meats, savoury sauces, game and cheese.
